Susan Cooley is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses primarily on defending physicians, nurses and hospitals. Ms. Cooley has litigated serious cases of alleged medical negligence and has represented physicians and nurses in licensure matters before various State Boards. She has also counseled hospitals regarding the credentialing of physicians and other peer review matters. Ms. Cooley has handled high exposure claims of medical negligence and has tried cases throughout the State of Texas. Before attending law school, Ms. Cooley worked several years as an Emergency Department and Intensive Care nurse, as well as, a Helicopter Flight nurse. Given her medical background, she frequently participates in seminars designed to aid medical professionals in avoiding malpractice litigation. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.
